Gannet
Hi to all,
Gannet , photograhed at Bempton cliffs yesterday morning , this is my first attempt at a flight shot and I'm quite pleased with the results (with the exception of the blown whites)
Any advice on the composition would be appreciated.

Hi Tim,
We saw all the usual suspects , Herring gull , Fulmar , Lesser black back gull , Wheatear , Meadow pipit , Reed bunting and a pair of Puffins nest building.

Nice shot, Andy (how many andy's are there on this forum?!) A classic Gannet, can you get relatively close to the birds here? I've decided i'm going to a breeding site this year but i'm unsure where to go... the Farne Islands are tempting me the most...

Hi to all,
Thanks for the comments.

Hi Paul,
Bempton is great for flight shots as all the birds fly pretty close to the cliff edge , missed out on what would have been lovely head on fulmar shots , too busy talking to Glyn who took some very good shots of Gannets displaying at the nest , only trouble is your shooting down about 250ft to the nest sites , I can highly recommend Bempton , you'll enjoy the visit , also if your a member of the RSPB bring your membership card and parkings free.

Kind regards
Andy...
