Yeehaw, for those who don't want to download or become entangled in Adobe's ordering nightmare, you can now order CS3 from Amazon. Cost is $195 + about $5 shipping.

Wow, wish I'd seen that before I ordered from Amazon!

I "bought" two copies @ $149 (one for me/my laptop; one for my husband) from walmart.com on 4/25 after a camera club member got his copy the day before. An email from Walmart confirmed the purchase. Another email said that it should arrive 4/30. Today 5/3 I get an email stating that they have cancelled my order (and several people that I passed on the price also had their orders cancelled. I called and they said that it was out of stock, a problem from the distributor (yeah, right).

A conversation with the supervisor later was enlightening, as the $149 version was out of stock but I could still order the $199 version!!!

This is VERY poor business practices on their part. They should honor the orders that they confirmed.

Lisa, I also ordered on 4/25 and l got the same notice on 5/3.

I am NOT a happy camper, especiallly since they have it available at a higher price.
I plan to give them a call and vent - even though it will do no good.
I've never heard of a vendor pulling that bull*@*t.
