Just preparing for when my order of CS3 arrives on Thursday or Friday (can't wait!!).
Do I need to uninstall CS3 beta version and/or CS2 before installing the CS3 upgrade? This is not a download version, but the complete disc set, if that makes any difference.
If I don't need to uninstall the above, CAN I uninstall it after installtion just to make more room available on my HD?
Any other hints or details I need to know about would be appreciated too.
I've kept previous versions of Photoshop on my machine when upgrading without any problems. I don't know about the beta CS3 though. You may want to ask over at the Adobe forums on that one.

On the NAPP site it explicitly states that you need to remove the beta version of CS3 before installing the final product.

You definitely need to uninstall the beta CS3. In fact, many still have problems after uninstalling and assuming you're running Windows, you might have to go through the procedure outlined in the Adobe knowledgebase at: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=kb401528
You do not need to uninstall CS2.

Read the installation guide on the CD. Yes, you need to uninstall the BETA to avoid potential problems. But, it's different this time around. If you're using PC, it probably doesn't apply, read the guide to find out. If you're using Mac, DO NOT DRAG THE FILES TO THE TRASH. PSCS3 comes with an uninstaller that is explained in the installation guide. Just follow the directions.

Thanks Wayne. I haven't received it yet, but if you make me, I guess I'll have to read the directions! Just kidding, but that's not my favorite thing in the world; I will definitely do so though. Thanks for the heads up.
