Messing around outside at home I tried this long exposure zoom of the hosta plants.
Canon 400D,28-135mm,1.6 sec exposure.
I liked the leaves in the leaves. What do you think?
VERY busy, but we're getting them worked. I hope you didn't have any damage. Everyone says it's the worst wind they've ever seen around here. We were in Gatlinburg when it happened. It snowed there, but not much wind!

Thanks everyone,
Yes it is a single 1.6 sec exposure-it's really fun to see what comes out from zooming during exposure.
Alice,
I bet it feels good to be a service to people in need and help them get back to normal. Around Lake James it looks similar to when hurricanes strike, BIG trees down. We were terribly lucky that none of the numerous white pines in and around our property fell and our REMC electric service was not even interrupted.

creative usage of the zoom. I've never been able to produce a successful zoom blur image. At first I thought you had shot this thru a window or reflection because of the sharp edges. Then I was wondering how you did that, then it finally occured to me to read what you wrote. great shot.

How goes it at work? Slowing down any?
This is very cool. Its hard to believe this is a single exposure (is it?) Very creative concept and well executed.
