...a slightly closer, higher angle.
getting up on that rock is not easy by any means, but the view is great and its very relaxing up there to just sit and contemplate life and the beautiful area we live in!
This will be my last post of this falls for a while as today I achieved what I had intended on doing for a while....I will post that shot later
so....how do you like this view of the area....
Thanks in advance

I dig it, I've been up on that rock a few times, it can be quite sketchy when wet, in fact, last year I slipped and fell back down the hill. My foot got caught on a rock, and saved me from breaking my neck.
The hot spots are a bit of a distraction, but the comp is great i think.

This is where I often shoot these falls. I love that rock. Come back in a few weeks and there might even be some small wildflowers growing up there. Believe it or not, I actually took a couple workshop students up that rock once too! Interesting light - a little harsh, but it works. Great flow to the composition. Compression is killing it though.

Be careful everyone, I just went to REI to scope out some climbing helemts as I am considering wearing one as stream walking season approaches. I saw a canyoneering video one time in eagle creek and theres about 12 crazy guys wearing them as they jump off waterfalls and scale rocks. I thought to myself, hey you know that probably isn't that bad an idea.
Great Shot Darren, the light in the upper canyon though is killing me!
