After getting skunked in royal fashion our last attempt on the beaches, Trevor and I had pretty good luck this time around. Short of driving all the way down to Bandon, Tunnel Beach near Oceanside looked to me to be the best place along the Oregon Coast, so thats where we focused first and foremost. The clouds didn't behave as we'd have liked due to an approaching front, but the tides were moderately cooperative and the rocks just can't be beat here. We're still debating whether this beats out Ruby Beach as far as accessible sea stacks goes (though throw in Seal Rocks in there too).
C + C appreciated.

Who needs Bandon when you can shoot this? The sunstar, clouds, color, and arrangement of the various elements all add up to one nice image.

Nice shot Bryan, the upper right is a tad dark for me but other than that your comp of the rocks and use of the sun is very nice. Might consider doing a hue adjustment on the rocks to get more of a yellow/sun glow. Were you down here bagging more falls?

Great comp. and exposure. I agree with Andy that I'd like to see it a tad warmer.

Great shot from one of my favorite beaches. This kills Ruby beach in my opinion.... but can't touch Second Beach near La Push
Well now that Second Beach is opening back up to the public, we'll just have to see about that. Thanks all for the comments, I'll post a reworked version after I get off work.

I'll be there the third week of June. When are you going?
This is great, Bryan. What is strong in this image takes my eyes away from whatever minor details there are to nitpick about. I personally like the coolness here, as it is more representative of what we shot, and serves also to produce a better mood.
Second beach is certainly great. Never have I seen such a large degree of moss-covered rocks. Maybe we should plan a small gathering there in June. It will be nice to see the beaches I enjoy visiting so much photographed via the eyes of Adamus.
Did anyone notice the rock in the bottom left sorta looks like a woman looking to the right over her shoulder. I see a nose a chin and flowing hair. I think it is beatiful since I am a sunset chaser myself but alas have no beach here in Amishcntry. I like pictures with color so I would buy this in a gallery if I had a lot of money. Keep up the good work. I like the blue tones.

Third week for the whole week Marc? I'd probably just skip over there for a quick overnighter if I see the weather behaving. End of June starts to get inopportune for me, because my birthday is right around the corner, thats prime waterfall hunting season and I'm planning a long run through the Umpqua region...and I've got tickets to a M's / Reds game that I will NOT miss. :)
But I'm sure I could squeek something in. Skip out on work for a day if I have to.

Bryan,
This is a cool shot. The rocks are pretty awesome and so are the colors. No need for Bandon when you have this to shoot. BTW you dog, Mariners and Reds with Griffey I think making his first return to Safco since being traded. Shoulld be a pretty festive atmosphere.
Okay, I don't know what I'm missing, but I can't figure out how to post a photo in a reply. Help?
Jesse, I use a Cokin P 3-slot holder on that lens, and yes it does vignette - I had to crop the sides a bit to get rid of it. My GNDs are Hitechs right now. Had them for less than a year and they're already scratched up. Next purchase will be a set of Lee or Singh Ray filters. Second Beach is just south of La Push in Olympic National Park.

Warmer temp conversion vote here as well.
