More from oceanside
I had some trouble with this shot, when the waves receded, the clouds would cover the sun and prevent the light from falling on the rock and when the sun came out the waves would cover the rock :). So I had to stand in the freakin cold ocean for almost a half hour to get the light on the rock. Comments and critiques welcomed.

Canon Rebel XT, 20-35 lens at 20 mm polarizer + 2 stop hard grad
I guess f22 in Av mode.

Needs a lot of brightness and contrast enhancement, significant horizon straitening and selective highlight dodging on the rock. But I very much like the mood, compositon and atmosphere.

I agree with Marc, this image has a lot of potential, it's just not there yet. I would do some levels, and contrast work. Also I would look at Marc's web sharpening tutorial for better presentaion on the web. Here is a link to the web sharpening article Web Sharpening

Isn't "half an hour in cold ocean water" part of the hazing for this club? Oooops, that's right, no more hazing, call it the "initiation"? Or "baptism"?
