I don't know if its a compression issue, or if it was windy, but my eyes keep looking at the blurry bushes right in the middle of composition.

I keep getting pulled to the top left corner due to the brightness. I'm not so sure a straight(ish) section of stream is the best place to try a 180 degree pano with - it just gonna look a little too distorted.

Laughing....thanks.....

Jon, its a compression issue...the full size file is 6118x2913 so yeah its kind of big....

Bryan...I agree with you about the stream and 180 degree thing...I was just messing around with it to see if it would work and what kind of distortion it would yield

Alot of these shots have been posted lately. To me, they all are starting to blend together in my mind. It would take something exceptional to raise my eyebrows. I'm not saying this is bad, I'm just getting a little bored with the old stream, rock and moss shot. Do you know what I'm saying? Something different has to happen for this type of shot to give the "WOW" factor.

Exactly what I was thinking when I went out to the gorge last week, Erik. Thinking outside the box, and finding a little extra magic for these predictable stream shots. It's not easy, but it can be done. But you know, there are so many people outside the NW that won't be tiring any time soon of these ultra-green mossy water shots, and they do sell for that reason. As to this image, I like the flow of it quite a bit. Seems well balanced and I don't find the 180-degree perspective too disorienting.
