I have passed by this particular place so many times over the past 10 years, but the light has either not been good or I did not have my camera gear. A couple of weeks ago I hit it just right for the mood I was trying to evoke and I actually had my gear. I have always liked the way the the live oaks hang over this particular graveyard and the way the light comes in from behind. I converted to B & W and boosted the contrast and added a little soft glow. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking and for the comments.

Reminds me of a similar graveyard in Beaufort (NC not SC).

Manages to evoke a sense of peace without being morbid or trite. Nice.
I'd love to know where it is -- I am going to be in the Lytchfield area next week and I am looking for some good places to photograph. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, Kerry

Very cool. I've been to a few old cemetaries but I get kind of a weird feeling. I think this shot defientely has that feeling, though it might be a bit more effective if the tombstones were more prominent.

Well done! Dark, moody and yes, even a little spooky.
Man, where ya been?
