couldn’t resist another trip to photograph the Hares yesterday,
I sat down opposite a gateway between the fields, which I knew was regularly used by the Hares when moving between fields.
Arriving at 5.00pm, by the time I had left at 7.00pm, no fewer than seven different Hares had sat in front of the camera to have their photos taken.
Before calmly going about their business.
I even put my 300mm lens on for some shots, and was still geting frame filling images.
A fantastic evening! over 200 images. And a privilege to be so close to so many, Not one ran off.
Canon eos 1dmk2n, 500mm f4 is lens, 1/200 sec, F8, iso 200. full frame no crop.

I have photographed a lot of Hares over the last four years and never used a static hide, you tend to never be in the same place twice !.
I use a bag hide somtimes, but If they are running around then I find the bag hide to Restrictive.
To be honest I find as long as the wind is in your favour then just dressing in full camouflage ie with a hood and gloves, is fine. as I have said in a previous post dressed like that I have had them sit beside me!.
The weather over the last few weeks has been perfect in the evernings the sun is behind in the west and the wind is in your face to the east.
