My 2007 project is to attempt to capture some insects in flight. Here is my best effort to date. This is a male Brimstone butterfly (Gonepteryx rhamni) showing a rare view of the upper wings - mostly at rest they sit with their wings tightly folded. This is a slight crop for composition.

How cool is this!!!!!
Are you sure on the techs Is this taken outdoors Clive?
Hi Clive,
Very admirable but I think you need to get some sense of movement with definate partition from ground, perhaps you need to use greater depth of field, the flash would still pick out the flying butterfly. Anyway that's my thoughts.
