Badwater, Death Valley
Salt formations and ridges at dusk. Salt flats at Badwater, Death Valley, California, USA.

A few cloud on the horizon would have been great but you work with what you are given.

This one is for Rebecca... thanks for the company, the cooler and the air conditioned ride

Canon EOS 1Ds / EF24-70mm f2.8 USM / 1.6s. f16 ISO100 / tripod + cable release+ hard edge 2 stop ND grad and a bit of selective curves to even out the exposure

I like hte colors and foreground shapes. The horizon could use some barrel distortion correction. I think a horizontal might have worked better as the extreme pointed down view is a bit unnatural for my tastes. Or perhaps a TSE lens would have alleviated that problem.

Very nicely done, Enrique. I like how your composition allows me to study the salt formations up close and also offers a view of the bigger environment.

Beautifully captured, Enrique! I really like the texture that you have captured and your composition too.

On another note, thanks for your advice on Rodeo...looks like Sunday may be a good evening if I have everything right. Thanks again!

Enrique -

I like it. The details in the foreground really make the image for me.

This is a very decent shot...

However it's too conventionnal to make your top-ten photos:
I bet you didn't think much to come up with this composition,
and you are capable of much more interresting and memorable
shots.
