A Black & White take
From my recent trip, there was little to no color around this cascade in Tremont so I thought I would try a b&w conversion. What do you all think?

Looks overly contrasty to me. The shadows are very blocked up.

But then again I am pretty lousy at B/W conversions.

Sweet comp though!

Thanks Matthew, my conversions skills are not that great either  That's why I posted it here to get some ideas :wavey:

I like it, Thomas. I think you need the contrast of some solid blacks and whites to make a B/W conversion effective. This has it.

Thomas,
I really enjoy b&w and this works for me. The highlight on the tree is great in the conversion.

Great composition and capture on the waterfall is very cool.
But I agree with someone earlier re the contrast at the very bottom -- If you coverted in photoshop, I wonder if you could tone down the white just a smidgen with a filter layer below your conversion layer. Just an idea.

Thomas,
I love it! I think if you open up the shadows a bit, it would be perfect. A great take on a popular place. First I have seen in B&W.
