Yellow Bellied Warbler
iso200, 500th sec, f 6.7, 500mm plus 1.7 telextender, Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. softer than I would like, contrast could be better on the head.,fast little birds that don't sit still for long.

David - nice shots of this warbler! They're fast, for sure, making them really tough to get a decent shot of! The first one may be a bit soft but I much prefer it to the second image.

I remember these as the Yellow-Rumped Warbler, not Yellow Bellied. They used to be called the Myrtle's Warbler (eastern) and Audubon's Warbler (western).

How much of a crop are either of these?

You are correct. Crop is about 50%.

I like the comp on the first one much better. It is a bit soft and the sky doesn't help either. That being said, these guys aren't easy to shoot. :toast:
