Folks,

Our May edition is now available. Please take some time to review our articles this month. Rod Barbee offers some image-saving wisdom about lens hoods, Alain Briot is back with a fascinating discussion on collecting photographic prints, Carl Donohue writes a passionate account on art and creativity, and I conclude my 2-part article on common truths, perceptions, and mis-perceptions in photography.

Also, don't miss this month's spectacular cover image by Bill Chambers!

I hope you enjoy it.

Note: I would like to offer a quick disclaimer regarding Carl's article which mentions my web site. Carl submitted his article to NPN several months ago, unbeknown to me and before I assumed the editor position.

Guy, nice job putting the May edition together! :toast:

Bill, I knew this photo was "cover shot material" the first time I saw it - thanks for letting us use it!

Guy, I found your 2 part series to be particularly encouraging. All of the articles are excellent and I spend more time reading both the magazine and the discusion / critique forums than anything else. I'm learning something new or something I thought I already knew all the time.

I greatly appreciate NPN.
