Looking Down
Tomas' post on ESS inspired me to look back through my many shoots above Metlako falls over the years, because I knew I had some I hadn't processed. I actually liked this version better than my previous posts. Let me know what you think.

I can't remember your previous posts of Metlako (an indication of my lousy memory, not the caliber of your images) but I really like the perspective here. The water cascading down in the FG leading the eye to the Falls really adds to this. Looks like there is a fair amount of blue in the water...is anyone else seeing this or is my newly calibrated monitor not calibrated so well?

There is some blue in the water. Probably the result of a clear day outside the canyon. I liked it, so I kept it. Thanks.

This is really striking. The open section with the falls is perfectly balanced within the frame, and the motion beginning from LRC leads the eye brilliantly to the primary focus.

Thanks, Marc. I like the blue...just wanted to be sure it was actually there. :wavey:

Really like the blue cast to the water here, which is very rare for me, I usually have to have it straight neutral white. Adds to the mystery. This really wants to make me go back through my photos from this spot and join the party...

Marc, I really like this shot - it provides such a grand sense of depth! You've also managed to grab such great detail in the greenery, which adds qutie a bit to the scene

This is an awesome perspective. I think I feel more like I'm falling in with the water than with other shots I've seen from here. This rocks for me
