Ponytail Minor...with repost
Looks like Ponytail falls but it's not.....

This is from the shoot with Ned and Marc on Sunday....let me know if it looks to dark to you....I may need to upgrade my monitor or have it calibrated.....

also, does the comp work for you? It's pretty basic since it was my first time here...next time will be a little more creative!

Thanks

Darren

The comp is great and the greens are talking to me Darren! If you could coax a bit more light from the UR rock face and the grotto behind the falls this would be a wall hanger for me!

Beautiful and a bit dark for me - especially the lower 2/3rds. The water is more grey than white except for the top of the falls. Did you bracket so that you could blend a lighter exposure in places ??

I love it, but I agree with John's comments on the exposure.

Great location, this place is a total blast to wander around, the creek below this fall features some huge boulders, but gets a bit brushy in places. I feel the colors are a little cold, even for the gorge, I feel it would be more inviting with some more red and yellow especially in the shadows.

BUT, my do we have an unwelcome log visitor? Bummer, compare the base to here, two years ago

I'm going to have to say this takes away from the place just a bit as it obstructs that tremedous splash, nature, argh

This is very nice compositionally; the motion in the immediate portion of the frame draws one in abruptly, and leads one to the centerpiece of the image. I think this would be an excellent shot with the aforementioned exposure adjustments, and to my eye it seems a wee bit tilted to the right.

Thanks everyone, I just figured out why my images were looking compressed.....so no more of that!

I think I need to edit my images in different light because everytime I come back the next day and look at them they are dark......

I appreciate the comments and suggestions!!

Ah, much better. I might suggest cropping off the left side a bit to get rid of that rock in the LLC that juts into the stream.

That did the trick! Excellent.

I like this one, Darren. I've said it before but your photography has gotten so much better recently.
