I took these digital snapshots this morning of Mt. Elbert and Twin Peaks. My film shots were taken with a wider angle but I don't have them developed yet. I would have liked to have seen more clouds in the morning rather than the crazy storms we got in the afternoon but the glow of the peaks was nice. Even though it is spring there is still some snow left in the Sawatch from recent storms. It is probably a good time to get up there!

Hey Josh, thanks for that post--im probably headed up that way in the next couple weeks. looks like more snow maybe later this coming weekend. I'm a sucker for reflections, so i like the photos--dont know if it was the atmosphere (hazy?) but the lighting seems a bit bland, probably could stand a bit of contrast enhancement.

Yea, these were actually taken several minutes after the sun rose so there isn't the reddish color I saw earlier and recorded on film. It was a little hazy. The shots are meant more as an example of conditions up there since I've seen a lot of posts from people interested in going to the Buena Vista or Leadville area. Make sure to show us what you get when you head up there Stan. Cheers! :toast:
