The Optimist
I was observing a pair of Bluebirds, in the back yard, working on their nest. I should say the female was working and the male was watching. This particular female was attempting to put 4-5 inch long grass and weeds into a 1.5 inch hole in her house. There are a few pictures of her attempts along with a picture of the male with a discussed look on his face on page 2 at http://philipschwarz.zenfolio.com/p312834992/

Good capture,

Birds are tough---I really love the background. Spring is really great isn't it?

I think this is little better shot. It seems to show hint of puzzlement.

The visible eye probably makes #2 better. They do seem soft on my screen though...I'm not sure if that's because they were heavily cropped, or if they just need to be sharpened. Regardless, it's great to see the birds back!

Now that's a mouthful! LOL In the last image on your site...is he attempting to share a meal with her?

Yes he was attempting to share the meal but she already had a mouthful.

Very nice Philip, birds are an awful tough capture, which I want no part of  I think I like #2 as well. :toast:
