In the spirit of warming temps and melting snow, let's see those shots where running water - rivers, streams, creeks, etc. - are a major element in the scene.
For the newer folks, each month's cover shot is selected from those submitted for the monthly theme. There are no hard guidelines for selecting the cover shot - creativity, uniqueness, impact, how well the image matches the theme... all are considered, and tend to carry more weight than technical mastery (although technicals are important).
Being a kayaker, this is a subject near and dear to my heart, very enjoyable and beautiful images are making this another great thread.

Great stuff everyone!!! It's awesome to see such a variety!! My contribution is from a trip to Moab a few years ago. Actually, the main destination was Telluride for some winter photography, but when I saw that the Moab forecast called for lots of rain, I headed there first hoping for some different types of images! I found some for sure!
It was pouring as I drove into the Windows section of Arches NP, and this little scene caught my eye, and I just had to stop! I'd never really seen this much running water in the desert before, so it was a real treat, even if I was getting drenched!
Waterfalls are one of my most favorite subjects to photograph over anything else. I am enjoying everyone's contribution to this thread as each and every photograph is inspiring and beautiful!

I found these rapids on Glacier Creek today. These were just above where Glacier Creek joins the Big Thompson River.
For those that are interested, it was taken at 45 mm, f14 at 1/8 second.
James - it could be just my laptop screen, but the image version you posted looks a bit over-saturated, particularly on the blues but on the other channels as well. Otherwise, quite lovely - I'm so looking forward to Summer...
Adam, great shot of the Watchman. Just wondering what time of year (month/day) this was as this and your other portfolio shots look like you hit the area perfectly for fall color.

I didn't overblur the water on purpose to try to capture the rush of the Spring snowmelt.
The thing I love about the monthly theme is that it brings to my remembrance images long buried, and motivates me to find, scan, and share them.
