Ornate Ghost Pipefish
Off to Indonesia on Friday for two weeks photography - been reviewing some of my last efforts from there eighteen months ago. Here's a target specie everybody wants to photograph in that area - and I would like to again only this time it will be digital. This pic was on an F90, Velvia and a 60mm macro with two strobes. I guess it would be about 8cms long. The red things are a type of coral often called sea rods.
I assume it is OK to post a non-UK pic as I have seen the occasional one in the forum from others.

Post as many as you like for me Jim - another super image of something I'll never see (way too scary for me this sub-aqua mullarky   ).

Have a great trip and bring us back some more exotic treats :wavey:

It's a baby dragon, great clarity again and full of fascination.

Thanks for the comments. David asked whether they are related to sea horses - yes, pipefish and sea horses are closely related and the males carry the fertilised eggs and young kangaroo-style in a brood pouch
