My first attempt

There was way too much dynamic range in this photo. I stitched seven portrait shots, each produced from 2 blended exposures. I am not very happy with my first try (the shadows), but I'll get better at it. This is the only way for me to have angles >90 degrees, and lots more than 8MP than the camera provides. Thanks for looking. Any constructive criticism is welcome.

This shot is spectacular. I don't see a problem with the shadows. They're definitely not too dark. If you think they're too light, you can fix this with a Curves adjustment. Also, it's hard to tell with the clouds obscuring the horizon, but it almost looks like the image is tilted a bit CW. Otherwise, I have no complaints. Great shot.

I agree with Grant. Looks wonderful to me. I'd like to have taken such a "bad" shot.

Momo, this is a fabulous first attempt at a stich! The subject lends itself perfectly to a stiched pano. If I were to get real picky, I'd like to see just a little more contast in the image as the range between some highlights and adjacent shadows is too narrow. Perhaps darkening the shadows and boosting midtone contrast a little will make this photo pop just a little more. I also agree with the CW rotation. Great job in all!!

You did a great job with this Momo.

I wish I could be not that happy with my shots. This is great, Momo. Everything pops wonderfully. I think Steve has what you're looking for in his suggestion - increase the midtone contrast just a bit, and possibly a bit heavier on the dark end of the curves....

Looks great Momo! I remember that day! That was so rad to catch that view with the storm clearing. You should come back up here for some more backpackin soon.

Wow sweet shot. I agree with Grant it looks like it's leaning towards the right a little but other than that it's a great shot.

Momo, this is absolutely spectacular. I agree with others about the contrast/brightness, however you might just try printing as is and see if the brightness bias looks good in print as is.

This is indeed a great first attempt at a photo stitch. You almost can't tell it is one. The only place that really pops out to me is the sky is brighter above the peak on the upper left. A little burning might be able to fix this. Nice job.

Thank you everyone for suggestions! I agree with the tilt, and will correct that. Yes, I think the shadows are too bright (or maybe just flat). Maybe increasing the midtone contrast would help. I just don't know what that means and how to increase it. I'll select the shadows and play with levels and curves, and see what I come up with.

Thanks to everyone again.

If you use photoshop, try a curve like this:

Great shot Momo. I agree about the contrast in the shadows, they seem flat. Multitudes of ways to fix that though. Create a merged version of your layers on top of all your other layers, set the new layer to soft light and dial back the opacity to suite your tastes for one option.

I also agree about the mountain sky boundary at upper left. The mask needs to be adjusted here to avoid that haloing, but that's simple to adjust too.

You defnitely have a awesome shot here. Just some tweaking to make it perfect.

Nothing much I can add regarding adjustments that hasn't already been suggested. Just wanted to say that's a fantastic shot!

Beautiful, Momo! I love the foreground scrabble. It will be great with the adjustments.
