Bar-tailed Godwit feeding (Reposted Image)
Taken at the same time as my Black-tailed Godwit shot below.

500f/4 and 2x on tripod, iso 200, 1/320, f/11

Thanks for looking.

Lovely shot Paul, very well done, I like it more than the BlackTG shot :toast:

Only one slight nit, a bit tight - if this is a crop give the tail a bit more room and maybe you can open up the bottom to include all the reflection. Keep the birds eye in frame center and this really nice image will be a stunner (as always, imho of course) :wavey: :wavey:

Nice one :toast:

Hi Paul - looks really well now - great job :toast:
Just add a tad of USM and knock the saturation down on the goddie to about -7/-9 in CS2 (if you can, also stretch the midtone con in Image>Adjust>Shadow/Highlight) - it looks very nice 'cos I've just done it on my machine but I'm not posting it as I've done a bit too much of that lately and feel like I might be looking a bit of a swine to some folk!!  :frown: :frown:

Spot on image Paul of what is rapidly becomming my all time favourite bird :toast: :toast: :toast:

All the best

Regards

Andy

Thanks again Andy, I've had another tweak with the settings you've suggested and reposted the updated version on my website.

Best wishes.

I too prefer the repost. Nice shot of a subject that always seems to have it's bill in the water. I have about 3billion shots that have the bill in water, which is nice, but I wasn't shooting for that particular pose :frown:

Very nice image Paul in great light :toast:
