The early photographer gets the bird......
Canon 1DsII (what not the Oly!), 500F4.5 plus 1.4 tc, iso200, 1/180 at F6.7, fill in flash 550ex HSS at -1 1/2ev, tripod. Cropped to portrait and rear diagonal reed cloned out (badly)

Reed warbler, Hosehill LNR shot last weekend around dawnish. Too busy at the front but it gives you a feel of the habitat

Can you redo that BG reed cloning Mike - this is a cracking image - I love it :toast: :toast:

Best Regards

Andy

I love the look of the bird isolated within the moving reeds.

I love all the complimentary colours in this shot and the bird's pose is very nice too.

Hi Mike,
Super shot , really like the low angle and the dawn light is very nice indeed.

Kind regards
Andy...

I've looked at this a few times and couldn't make up my mind. But I've decided that I love it. Its one of those 'windows into a world' shots. The light is beautiful and the way it guilds the bill is very nice. I think warblers (apart from Dartford) are best photo'd like this, i.e. through their environment. :toast:
