Hercules Glades Columbine
The columbines are looking good on Long Creek this time of year - one of the most prolific areas I've run across. There are even several places where you can look UP into them!

Tim, I'm hoping to work on selective focus like you've shown here and of the images I've studied so far using that technique, spot light on the area of sharp focus seems to separate the good from the very good shots. I really like the light in this shot and I'm wondering if it is all natural light? Thanks Tim! :wavey:

It is all natural light (though I don't like the particular shade of red). This columbine was growing at about head height on a bluff, which made it very easy to choose the angle and focal points.

Tim, this is quite beautiful. I really like the selective focus. Isn't it nice when nature is so cooperative. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Beautifully done, Tim! Great use of selective focus, and nice bg. I also like the symmetry you've shown from this angle. Nice work!
