Get off moi laaaaaand!!!!
Canon EOS 1D MKII, 600mm non IS, 1.4x conv, g1548, g1321, wimberley head, full camo, midges and nettles!!, full frame, converted to BW, RAW, RSE, CS2, f6.3, ISO 640.

Hi All,

One from last night over the river, when the Heron strayed to close to the Rookery. They flew into the setting sun giving almost a silhouette type of image, so decided to convert to BW. to be honest not to sure about it, but always find it amusing that a massive bird like a Heron is chased away by a Rook!!

All comments welcome

Regards

Rob

Hi Rob - if you've got a big tele shot of the setting sun you could do a comp of this, might look really cool.

The Rooks defend their nesting sites with vigour and aren't afraid to tackle larger species. It can get some interesting encounters.

Hi Rob,

I seem to remember that was what the not so friendly farmers round your way said!

Anyhow I really like the silhouette effect here and the branches help to add an 'anchor' and scale. :toast:
