Red Kite in a dive
Hi All

Well it wasn't planned but on a day out and about yesterday my wife and i ended up not far away from Gigrin Farm.We had missed the start of the feeding by about 45mins and as we had never been before we thought what the hell lets go and have a look. What a site in the sky as we drove up to the fram so many Kites and Buzzards.

It wasn't the best day/lighting for photography but i had ago anyway. It was like playing star wars on my daughters xbox. Where to aim the camera!
Tecs.

C1 Pro, CS2 & a little Neat Image.
I think it looks to much like a panting now?? But i liked the pose.

I would like to try and make the meeting there next week, but if not is one of the hides better than others. Any tips and info very welcome.

Sorry for the long post

Regards
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I have never been to Gigrin so cannot help with the hides, but I like your image.

Having spent a lot of time the last few weeks trying to get images of Buzzards in flight/diving I can appreciate how hard this type of shot is, I think you have ended up with a good result.

Regards

I think Gigrin needs blue sky. I've been twice and sat in the same hide. 2nd one from the end is my fav I reckon. I think you can have any of the hides as some will provide better BG's depending on whether you want land Bg or sky BG. I reckon any are just as good.

Nice shot. They're hard to get in a dive :toast:
