Hi to all,
Whitethroat , photographed at Bempton this morning , looked like it had just arrived because it allowed me to get quite close , it must have been really tired after its flight from the Sahara.
Levels , Usm ( 150,0.2,0 x2 ) crop for comp
Canon 20D , 500mm F4 L IS , W/Hv2 , Gitzo 1325

Hi Graeme,
If I'm honest Graeme I was so excited to see my first Whitethroat that I didn't pay that much attention to my camera settings , I knew I was shooting at iso200 and F4 to get the diffused bg , so I just concentrated on trying to get the shot and I let the camara select the shutter speed , I suppose I could have selected between F8 & F11 to get a sharper image and still managed a very good shutter speed but excitement got the better of me
