Spend five hours yesterday looking for this bluebell site. Eventaully found it and it was spectacular. Canon 20D, Sigma 10-20mm, 580ex flash, 8 seconds, f/32, iso 100. C & C welcome and appreciated.

I have added a second shot to see if it is a little better.

2 good shots of the Bluebells Michael.

I like the second ones format and angle.

I don't think the first shot is sharp, tho it's sometimes difficult to tell on a small jpg. This may be because of the shutter speed - a lot can hapen in 8 seconds, or maybe the sigma lens is limited by diffraction at f32. The perspective in the shot looks like you could have used the hyperfocal distance and a wider apperture. It also looks like the bluebells in the foreground have been trodden on; kind of spoils the shot a bit imo.

In the second shot, by adopting a low perspective you lose the impact of the mass of blooms and the colour of the flowers. An interesting experiment, but I don't think it really works. You also have a stray, single bloom in the right foreground, which impairs the composition imo. Sorry to sound so harsh, but you may be able to return and re-shoot, before the spectacle is over.

Cheers for the feedback one and all. The shots were a little rushed and it does show. Just need to get back there and reshot. MJ
