We are pleased to announce that long-time NPN member and 2006 EPA winner Bill Fach is now the moderator of the flora gallery. Please welcome Bill to the NPN moderating team!

Ronnie Gaubert and David Chauvin remain the macro/close-up gallery mods. Since macro photography is their favorite, they will now be able to focus entirely on that gallery.

My sincere thanks to Bill, Ronnie, David and all of the NPN moderators for helping to make this site such a great place for us to post our nature photography!

Congratulations, Bill,

I'm sure you'll be a great moderator.

This will definitely keep you busy, out of trouble, off the streets, and far away from those red/orange artistic contributions ;^)

Way to go.

Congratulations Bill! I look forward to your input. The floral gallery is growing leaps and bounds and you will have quite a challenge to keep up, especially in the spring.

Bill,
I'm a little late on congratulating you but welcome aboard. As David stated, Flora is on a roll and finalizing the weekly pic is going to be a tuff decision.
OH, wait till you get all the hate mail because you didn't select someones image.
Posted by Bill Fach on May 9, 2007 at 11:26 PM
Thanks to all for the kind words and encouragement although Ronnie's reference to hate mail gives me pause. I'll just respond that it was the result of too many adult beverages or left handed cigarettes.

Flora is on a roll and I don't think it is merely seasonal. Folks like Nathan Buck, Mike Moats, Larry Lynch, Bernie Kasper, Rick Tomalty, Giuseppe Guadagno, Toni Lankerd, Maureen Pulignano, Dale Williams and a bunch of others have been posting more and better work for several months. As a result Flora images are now second only to ES&S in average comments per post. There's a civility, camaraderie, and general appreciation of the divergent talent on display in Flora that I find immensely gratifying. Making the choice of top image each week will be a daunting but thoroughly enjoyable exercise. I'm looking forward to the challenge and the experience. ES&S, here we come! >=))>
