whitethroat 2nd try
Tried posting this last week but been having pc problems.Hope it works now.Taken a couple of weeks back on a nice warm day. He/she was nest building and didnt seem to take much notice of me. They were building in some brambles about two meters in front of me. Im still trying to figure out lightroom yet,so this is my first try using it. Around 50% cropping and a bit of touching up and usm in photoshop.

Nice shot Matt. I find that even though the males will often show well whilst they're singing, they do tend to pick the most inconvenient perches to sing from. It's almost as though they don't want their photo taken

Pretty shot Matt, compositionly a bit central although the leading in branchs somehow make it work I think. Wish I could find a Whitethroat.

Thanks tim ,I see what you mean by central. It looks a bit grainy on my monitor i dont know if its a bit oversharpened or just noise. Good luck with your search. Regards matt

Hi Matt

I like this image, IMHO the 3 dimensional feel would be lost if the birds bill wasn't central in the frame.

The exposure is spot-on on my monitor.
