Rook and Heron
Canon EOS 1D MKII, 600mm non IS, 1.4x conv, G1548, G1321, Wimberley head, 1/1250, f7.1, ISO 250, RAW, RSE, CS2, slight crop for comp.

Hi All,

Another in the series from my session over the river at dawn a couple of weeeks ago.

There are some nice species showing up over there now, just a matter of getting them in the view finder!!

The Barn Owl's are doing OK with the Female on eggs and the Male taking food into her.
Highlight a couple of nights ago was watching the Male on the ledge of the nest box, then having a Cuckoo come and sit in the tree just above him and start calling :jump: bliss!!

All comments welcome

Regards

Great to get the two species together in the same frame. Would prefer if they were flying slightly more towards camera, but still nice.
Is this area near your house? I have an attractive car-park by mine!

Hi Jeremy,

I am lucky enough to have access to private meadow land and 500metres of river frontage, which is just over the road from my home.

Another great 'behavioural action' image. Glad to hear your Barnies are doing well. :toast:
