Taken just below the main falls. This scene has so many possibilities for compositions if you don't mind getting really wet. Nits of all sizes requested please!
The obvious hot spot aside, I would have liked to see a little more of a lead in on two opposing sides (top and bottom or left and right). It feels a bit to centered. I'm not really feeling the love for that log in the bottom left too.
I like this compostion and the greens are very nice in this. I'd clone just a little texture into parts of the hotspot to make it not such a "blob" of white. If done carefully, it will look really nice. I'd also burn the log on the left to be as dark as the log behind and above it. Match it and it will blend a lot betta.
I am shooting along the N Umpqua on Sunday, and was just telling Ned that I was going to hit this spot. I know that exact big boulder you were probably standing on. That creek does have some decent opportunities, especially just below the falls. I like your comp, 'bout as good angle as you can get from this spot...but the greens are a tiny bit too electric.
Thanks for the good info and comments folks! I didn't use any filters here so I'll check the raw file to see if I boosted the saturation. The grees were intense and didn't need any help.
Almost too vivid.
