Hi, This is an image I took at a local nature reserve and, since my bird identification skills are only noticable by their absence, I was wondering if someone here could help me identify it please. Personally I think it is a nightingale but as I said what do I know? This was about the best view I had of this particular bird which was a pain as it didn't come out from the dense foliage in the tree it was in :frown:

Thanks

Hi adrian,

Looks good for Nightingale to me, and by your description of not coming out of dense foiliage sounds good to.

A real shame it decided to sit on such a big branch  other than that a good shot

Regards

Rob

Yep, youve got one of the Nightingales (West gate?) - the white eye ring is the giveaway plus the long tapered tail underparts, also it should have been going Juug Juug Juug followed by the fruity flourish.......

Rob, Mike,

WhooHoo! - I'm getting better! - Yep Mike it was at the West Gate but I can't remember the sound it was making :frown: - At least i now know what they look like and can see if I can get a better pic.

Thanks

Adrian
