I'm passing the 3 year mark now as a photographer, so have amassed enough landscape photos to put together a collection, which ive put on the photoportfolio site. Please check it out, comments welcome! Vast majority are from the CA coast and CO (moved here from there year an half ago) Use the link below
Nice work Stan! You've got a lot of really, really nice images in the portfolio so it's hard to pick a favorite but I've got to go with the B+W Hanging Lake shot. Great choice displaying in B+W!
thanks James and CAZ--i have to credit Art Escobado for the idea of going with B&W at hanging lake; he showed me a similar pic of his and it must have stuck in my subconcious cause i ended up shooting from the same vantage point.

that's a cool shot Stan, I hadn't seen your version until now! I also like the Iraan lightning the color and the shot of the single bolt is striking!
You've got some decent stuff there, but there are a few that just jump out from the rest. "Iraan Lightning," "Lost Sunset" and "Wedding Blues" are oh-my-god moments! I like your fresh take on Garden of the Gods with "Godess," too.
Thanks alot guys--i appreciate the input!
Todd; Wedding Blues ia also one of my favs, not because it's any good technically (i had to shoot at ISO 800, which made it pretty grainy) but there's something about coming straight from a graveyard shift before sunrise, crawling out on wet rocks in a deserted state park in the middle of a driving rain/wind storm, trying to protect my camera from the elements by (attempting) to hold an umbrella with one hand, shooting wave sets with the other. That's what makes photography for me!
Thanks, Rick & Dan. That California shot was one of my favorite 'secret' locations, not far from where i lived, but definitely in the middle of nowhere.
