Howdy All! Figured with all the awesome images being posted lately that I would join in. Here's another from my trip to Utah last month, this one from Little Wild Horse Canyon. It was a great day in there as usual, not too crowded until later in the day. Considering there had been a big storm a few days earlier, there really wasn't too much water to contend with, and what was there was easy to get by.

I came across this spot quite a ways in, just at the beginning of another nice narrow section. I set up the 4x5 so that folks could still get by me with no problem. Luckily when someone would walk through the water, it calmed down to completely still with in seconds it seemed! Very cool! The only funny part was when a couple came by with their dog. They just rock hopped across, but of course the dog took to the water, and decided that would be a good time to shake him self. Not a big deal, but I did have to clone out several dog hairs that were very obvious!

I know this one is almost an optical illusion, but really happy with the way it came out. I wish I could show you all the original piece of film. I absolutely love that highlighted line that goes from top to bottom on the right, especially where it transitions from blue to gold. Loses alot with the jpg compression.

Thanks for looking, and let me know what you all think. Take care!

Very interesting, Brent. I like the transition of light, especially in the highlight like you mentioned.

Brent, I like the abstract nature of the comp. In this situation, the blurred image of the reflected ridge of the canyons work. I definitely agree that the edge is the highlight of the image.

Very intriguing image, BD. I like that ribbon of reflected light on the right.

Sweet. I wish that the reflected rock formation was a tad sharper, but the ribbon of light absolutely rocks and holds everything together nicely.

Papa-D!
I really like this shot! :jump: I'm always up for natural abstracts and, like most of the others, I'm really groovin' on the thin, reflective line!

Thanks everyone!! I really had a good time looking for the " unusual" shots!

Richie V. sent me this idea for another crop from this image, I and have to say, I like it!!! Thanks Rich!
