Gannet ( Flying white thing )
Hi to all,
Gannet , photographed at Bempton yesterday , after three visits this week and a total of 500 miles travelled I think my next visit will be in June at the meet , looking forward to meeting whoever turns up , for the next few weeks I'll be concentrating on Blackcaps in my local wood.

Levels , Usm ( 150,0.5,0 x2 ) S/h , crop for comp

Canon 20D , 500mmF4IS , W/Hv2 , Gitzo1325
1/1600th @ F8 iso400 E/c -2/3 jpeg

All comments and advice most welcome
Kind regards

Hi Andy,

Great shot, 500 miles  I thought you were local!!

I really hope to make the June meet, Bempton sounds like a stunning place.

I am not really into square crops but it works well here :toast:

Andy,

perfect shot, like the head turning towards you, gives the shot a bit extra. I think the profile of the bird from this angle suits the square crop.

This is gorgeous - that light is something special - really shows the wing contours off a treat. :toast:

Ah so you got one then, this one has a nice feel, like the light, only cause for concern are the highlights on the sea not sure if I'd keep them.
Great stuff
Personally I wouldn't call Bempton stunning, but then 300 foot cliff's make my trousers dirty.

Great capture of the Bird with plenty of detail. I agree with Tim's comment about the white dots I would remove them. :toast:

Hi to all,
Thanks for the comments , I thought about cloning out the OOF birds on the sea but I didn't want to ruin a nice image with my crap cloning.

King regards

Lovely Gannet-in-flight shot with great exposure and yes, I would clone out those white oof things too!
