Cobweb Jewels
Sorry can't remember all the techs but it was with the 1D MKII and the 600mm.

Hi All,

This was taken a few weeks back over the meadows at dawn. I'm a bit unsure about this  . When I took the image it was shimmering like a diamond necklace, but the image does'nt seem to have the same magic.

Do you guys think it works or should I bin it??

All comments very welcome

Regards

Rob

It does look a tad soft Rob - a dose of high pass filter sharpens the stem supporting the web and the web itself to a degree - most of the softness is due to lack of DoF with the 600 I think. But the High Pass filter does put a lot of sparkle in the image - give it a try Rob :wavey:

Hi Rob,

It's a near miss.Bit of subject movement and not quite enough depth of field.
It's gonna have to be another ludicrously early start I reckon.

Hi Rob,

Not quite the image you envisaged I suspect but I'd certainly try again, keep the web plane parallel to you camera and try a range of f stops f22-f11 if the wind conditions allow. I'm sure you'll crack it.

All the best,
