I hope it is OK to post this here...

The 2008 schedule of my digital nature workshops has just been posted (my 21st year of teaching nature workshops). Besides the standard workshops I will also have a black & white workshop, wildflower workshop, and a new WATERFALL workshop, all of them being held at the Buffalo Lodge (located in between Ponca and Jasper). All of the workshops for 2007 are full except for the extended workshop at Petit Jean in November (couple of spaces left in that one). Returning students get a $50 discount, AND we will have an IT person at each workshop to help out with those of you who use PCs instead of Macs. A grand time will be had by all, and I have no doubt there will be some terrific images created! (and by the way, we will be able to drive into Smith Creek for some shooting during most of these workshops)

After seeing that shot from Bowers, you can count me in for the waterfall workshop - that is if it hasn't filled up already  ! The timing on this one could be really great, with some of the early wildflowers coming on about that time.

I do expect these workshops to fill up in a hurry, although no one knows about them yet. Like any of these type of workshops that are weather and Mother Nature dependent we may or may not be able to find a lot of waterfalls to shoot during the workshop, although even with pretty low water conditions we will have at least a couple of good ones to visit. These are not tours so we won't be out all day long chasing waterfalls and going to a dozen of them, but rather will be like my normal workshops where we do get out and shoot a couple of times - and in this case will concentrate on all the specifics of getting the best waterfalls - then the rest of the time will be spent in the classroom processing (or in the hot tub at Buffalo Lodge!).
