I like how you got to the side to capture this one, Darren - allowing more of that great white water veiling to be visible in the shot. I also like the hint of the canyon beyond showing in the upper right.. Since I couldn't go as wide, I stepped back as far as I could in the pool to shoot mine more straight on.. I like yours a lot better, though..
Darren, great capture. By stepping to the side, you have helped to simplify the space. And as Ned mentioned, the hint of the canyon in the upper right provides nice depth.

Thanks everyone.....really the light we had that morning could not have been ordered any better....I have been shooting pictures for over 15 years now and have never seen lighting so perfect with such still air......like Ned's fern shot at 20 sec......who would have ever thought it was possible....
These little cascades are really amazing when you get in there under the canopy of tree branches...
I can only hope we come home with the same quality images this coming Sunday as we did last weekend....
Thanks again for the comments...I really appreciate it!!!

7 repliesThought I would toss one up from the creek hike on Sunday and to share another perspective of Ned's fine image...
I loved how the light was coming through the canyon...
