Fox Cub Enviro
I am a bit later than i would like with these cubs,The 2 weeks in the states and then getting the hide up and spending a few days learning their routine mean they are bigger than i would like to have started with,There are 2 and their den is on some private land near my house so seeking permission was the first priority,The den is not far from a road and i have seen them playing in the road so the first thing i do is to check the road to see if there has been a mishap,so far so good,This image was taken this morning before sun up so a high ISO and the lens wide open-not ideal but better than nothing,I did get some images in better light but like the feel of this one

Indeed.... a very nice image Dave.

What's the bluey type stuff on the left? Are they grow bags or something?

Yes the den is in a field which has rows of black polythene with veg growing in them,The actual den is just behind the cub on the right,The other side of the den is a small orchard so may at some point get permission to shoot there but the light there is difficult-Hopefully as the veg grows it will cover the polythene

Very nice shot dave. I guess its due to the furrow in the ground, but it looks like you have weird DOF... almost like massive field curvature...

Actually i used neat image on this to reduce the noise,I know people who have used both and prefer noise ninja, they work very well and only cost about £20,I havent tried the CS2 noise reduction even though i have it

As much as I love close-up portraits, these habitat shots are something special.
The image has that unmistakeable and particularly attractive cool look to it from the early morning.
I like this one a lot.
