Spring Wild Flowers
1DM2, 180mm, F4.5, 1/320, ISO 100, Tripod, jacket in failed attempt to block the wind!

Many Thanks to Bill Whitney for allowing my brother and I to enter the "Whitney Estate" and shoot some wild flowers while he was traveling. It was a morning with gusty wind so the conditions were difficult. I found one really nice Purple Trillium but it was exposed and moving around quite a bit. I did not use a difusser to keep the shutter speed as fast as possible!
Looking forward to this weekend in Gorham. Looks like mother nature will provide that big natural diffuser on Saturday. . .

Jim....wish the wind wasn't such a pain when you were here...but it was the same this past weekend when I got back from Japan. lots of white trillium joining the purple. found a jack in the pulpit along the stream as well but didnt get an image i was pleased with. Hope everyone has nice calm days this weekend(few showers) and lots of prime wildflowers.
