After last night's overdue rain I took a quick trip over to Blue Hen Falls this morning. As you can see, its flowing nicely. The pool below is still a bit muddy from runoff so I didn't include it. I also had to clone out some trash that had landed on the slope below the falls.
The spring greens of the leaves really pop against the wet trunks and ground. I think I now have this shot in each of the seasons. Guess I'll go shoot something else.
I concur with some of the thoughts from Christopher. I would kill to have a falls like this near me. Much of the streams around me are clay and mud, so it doesn't account for clean moving water or large drops like this of stone.
Wow Chuck--we had NO water there on Saturday. Its raining here now--I may call you & see if you want to go back there tomorrow--climb down & shoot the falls closeup--These nice patterns that are giving you that pipe organ effect.
You did a great job with this.
(Did you notice a lot of the debris downstream is gone?)

Jack, Looks like good light for shooting tomorrow. I might take another run out there if I'm not overloaded here. I'm hoping the pool will have cleared out. I'll call you if I'm going.
Very nice Chuck, I know all about the debris these falls and creeks can contain, it seems like everytime I find a interesting comp I have to battle all the crap and foam that goes with it but sometimes I get lucky and come up with something nice. Well done.

"Guess I'll go shoot something else"...... Based on how nice this spot looks, I'll believe that when I see it!
