Now that I buttered you all up saying some nice stuff about Marc, I figure I should post. You know, strike while the iron is hot.
I have been taking this landscape/nature/macro class, and this was one of my assignment submissions. Shot at Indian Beach at Ecola, I am sure everyone knows the site. Not sure how this will turn out for the web, since it has been quite a while since I have done that.
Thanks Ned, that is Tillamook Rock in the background. In the full sized image it is a bit more obvious. I thought catching the sun setting on top of it added something of interest in the background, plus I like lighthouses. Though I had no idea if anyone else would think it was worth keeping.
I got an A for the assignment, in my estimation, for standing in the Pacific Ocean in April.
also, I forgot to add, have you thought about cropping the bottom a pinch? It just feels like there is a lot of white space in the LRC. Also, I love the silhouette of the rock formation in the back right on the sunset!

Thanks all for the feedback, and I'll give the suggestions a try.
Eric, this was an online course taught by Darwin Wiggett at ppsop.com. A book of Darwins, that I picked up several years ago in Grand Teton, really set a bar for me in terms of what I wanted to learn about photography. When I came across the course with him as an instructor, I had to try it.
