I took off last night just as the sun was going down and thought I would try something new since I knew I would be shooting waterfalls on Sunday!

I am looking for opinions on comp and if there is enough to draw you into this image...

Thanks for leaving a comment...

I would like to see more on the bottom and less on top....maybe even crop down to the tree line excluding the sky entirely and make a pano out of this. Also seems to have a slight tilt to the right. The grayish "shoreline" adds alot of interest in the FG.

I like this, Darren. The light green with the dark sky adds some nice drama. The glimpse of features underwater also add intrest.

I agree with Mark and Jesse's request to see the lower edge of the water. It also feels a little low on the left. The grass/weeds in the FG are too small at this resolution to be a feature, though if you were close enough to emphasize them they might be really cool. (Then again, the scene's got enough going on w/o them for my taste.)

Thanks for sharing.

This is interesting and dramatic. Not often do we see dark, inky looking water, so I like the sky up there to explain it a little for me. I'm going to pipe up with a different cropping suggestion... How about crop off the weeds at the bottom? Crop as little as you can and then clone out the little snippets of what remains?
I like it.
