I started looking for fox earths last autumn, I spent a couple of weeks checking out local woodland, following tracks and making notes,I have 4 earths now with resident cubs,2 earths are in woodland, one on farmland and one on a railway embankmant,The cubs on the farmland are now getting large and starting to explore, one of the 2 cubs leaves the earth and spends his time in an old farm shed away from flies and mobbing crows,When i returned a couple of weeks ago i went to check on an earth in the darkest part of the forest,it is a beautiful place but very dark, one sunny day i went and got 1/20 at ISO 800 so wrote it off but i keep going back viewing from high above and watching the parents going in and out,I noticed some movement a couple of weeks ago and viewed a pair of ears sooooo small i couldnt believe it was a fox cub but put a hide up and have gone back a few times and just watched in amazement as these 4 tiny cubs play around on their own-watched only by myself and the local buzzard who is nesting close by,today i decided enough was enough and did a short session,88 frames later i left-very happy,The light was abit better so i could just about use ISO 400 although this shot was at 500

The hard work paid off a beautiful image showing the cubs in a natural setting. It's probably my monitor but I can see a slight green cast in the fur but no one else has queried it? possibly light reflecting off the foliage?
To be honest, I thought there may be a cast but assumed it was my monitor as no one else had mentioned it. Perhaps it's just our monitors Kev!...or foliage like you say.
