Hi Everyone,

It looks as though I will be re locating in the next few months to the beautiful Devon countryside, hopefully around the Okehampton area. I was just wondering if there are any reserves/country parks that I could visit for photos while we are getting settled?

Thanks in advance

Regards Chris.

From my degree industry year in the 70s, my haunts were

Yarner Wood nr Bovey Tracey
Lydford Gorge
Wistmans Wood - stunted relic oak woodland north of Two Bridges/Princetown area is very photogenic
Fernworthy reservoir for passage birds

slightly further afield for you, (but I was based at Starcross); the River Exe has quite a few sites Topsham/Bowling Green RSPB reserve, Powderham/canal, Dawlish Warren beyoned the golf course and the Exminster marshes

Haldon Forest

and.....Braunton Burrows NR Braunton was Britons first UNESCO Biosphere site it has some rare flora and is a large complex of unspoilt sand dunes if thats you cup of tea (ie photographically challanging....)
