Cherry tree and Bluebells
My recent home away from home, Washington Park Arboretum.

polarizer

I'm new to digital and particularly to Lightroom so any suggestions to improve the post processing are much appreciated with everything I post. Scott Kelby has an excellent book on Lightroom but there's only so much you can learn by reading about it.

Hey Mark, I shot the same tree and flowers recently! As in my chrome, the dark area needs work in my opinion. Sure is a nice setting.

Jesse, thanks (you too, Slavomir). I like the 17-55...it covers most of the focals lengths that I typically shoot at, is sharp and contrasty, and no play in the focus ring makes manual focus reliable. Not as sharp as my 105 but I wouldn't expect it to be. I haven't shot into the sun with it yet so can't comment on its potential for flare.

I think it works. A nice array of the blooming spring season.

Hi Mark-
I've looked at this several times, and am thinking that it's slightly pulling to the left -- maybe a small crop off the left side and a little off the bottom to keep the image ratio? The comments on lightening up the shadowed area are good, too, though you could also acheive that by slightly increasing yellow saturation., given the tones back there. It's a very peaceful, calming image!

This is really, really nice. Very peaceful.
