Not for critique just out of interest

A Grass-snake has returned to the compost heap in the garden today.
Last year She laid eggs and stayed around the pond all summer, hopefully
I shall get some nice shots of it again this year.

This is quite a big Snake, the piece of grass bottom left is 6 inches long so I estimate the Snake to be 42-44 inches long

The only live grass snake I have ever seen was a baby a few inches long when I lived in the New Forest some years ago - to see a near 4 footer is quite something!

Fingers crossed for the patter of (non existent) tiny feet!

Great snake in every way!
I see them swimming by sometimes in a nature reserve i go to often, but never got a satisfying shot...
Looking forward to seeing some images of this one close-up!
