Hi
I have just moved to Manchester CT 4 days back for work . I'd like to know about the good places where I can go to photograph birds and landscape. Appreciate your help.
Hi Gautham. Any of the shoreline beaches have a lot of birding if you can find public access. Milford would be a good start. There is a park in Litchfield with a bird blind and also the Kellog Center in Derby has a bird blind and and quite a few different types of birds. There are several Audobon Centers both inland and on the shore. Any parks along the Connecticut or Housatonic Rivers should have some birding as well, especially birds of prey. I'll email you directly if I think of any other birding spots. Landscapes in CT are hard to come by. There are so many trees they hide the rolling hills. Here again Milford has a lot of stone bridges over ponds and good shoreline vistas. I'm not too familiar with the Manchester area. Maybe if you put your request on the Northeastern sight, someone could be more helpful.
